Work with Lars

What role does your situation require?Sometimes a coach, a facilitator, a sparring partner — or someone who has actually been inside an organization like yours.

I work with leaders, teams and organizations when the situation is complex, important or difficult to solve with the usual answers.

How I can work with you

Roles, not products. Often a piece of work moves between them.

Coach
When the challenge is personal — leadership, reflection, or a difficult decision that is yours to make.
Facilitator
When a group needs to have an important conversation, or find an alignment it cannot reach on its own.
Sparring Partner
When you need someone experienced to challenge your thinking from outside the system — and to bring answers and direction when the situation calls for them.
Transformation Catalyst
When change needs more than another initiative or communication campaign.

What you could work with me on

  • Leadership challenges

When responsibility grows faster than the familiar ways of leading.

  • Important decisions

When a decision carries weight and you want to think it through with someone who has no stake in it.

  • Leadership team dynamics

When a leadership team works hard, but not quite together.

  • Difficult conversations

When a conversation has been avoided for too long.

  • Organizational change

When structures, roles or responsibilities are shifting — including through AI.

  • Transformation

When a transformation needs more than another initiative.

  • Team development

When a team’s potential and what it actually achieves drift apart.

  • An outside perspective

When the visible problem may not be the real one, and an experienced view from outside the system helps.

I know organizations from the inside.

For more than twenty years I have worked inside large international organizations. Each role taught me something I still bring into the room.

  1. 01

    Scientist

Learning how living systems sustain themselves — through conditions, not control.

  2. 02

    Leader

Responsible for people and results. Experiencing where organizations create performance, and where they unintentionally consume it.

  3. 03

    Transformation practitioner

Transformation taught me that announcing change is not the same as making it real.

  4. 04

    Coach

Coaching means helping people see their situation more clearly — not handing them answers.

Transformation from the inside

Some of those years were spent in the middle of Bayer’s Dynamic Shared Ownership transformation — a radical, serious attempt to reorganize a global corporation around trust and ownership. Those years I spent advising, coaching and sparring with the people who carried the change.

What I learned there was less about change itself, and more about what it shatters against: the invisible conditions beneath the surface. A new mission statement or a strategic announcement does not reach that deep structure.

Why I work this way

Human-Centered Evolution did not come from theory alone.

  1. Science
  2. Leadership
  3. Transformation
  4. Coaching
  5. Human-Centered Evolution™

Each of these perspectives sees something the others miss. Together they left me with a set of questions — about why capable, committed people so often produce results none of them intended. Those questions became Human-Centered Evolution.

As a coach, I don’t hand you answers — I help you see your situation more clearly. As a facilitator and sparring partner, I do bring answers and direction into the room when the situation calls for them.

The professional ecosystem around my work

ForChiefs

I don’t work alone. I am part of the ForChiefs Alliance — a network of experienced practitioners and Sidekicks who work alongside leaders.

Sidekick is my role in the ForChiefs Alliance — the deliberate combination of coach, facilitator and consultant. It describes how I work: close to the people, in the middle of the situation.

The practice behind my work

Whether we begin with a leader, a team or an organization, the underlying approach is the same: Human-Centered Evolution. The three fields are entry points into one practice — and they often lead into one another.

Me as a leader

Leader Evolution

For leaders navigating complexity, change or greater responsibility — where established leadership patterns are no longer sufficient.

What can become possible

From reacting to complexity → towards clearer priorities, real agency and decisions that hold under pressure.

Us as a team

Team Evolution

For teams experiencing friction, an unclear purpose or mandate, a leadership transition, or a gap between potential and actual performance.

What can become possible

From recurring patterns of friction → towards clearer decisions, visible ownership and less energy lost to coordination.

The system we work in

Organizational Evolution

For organizations where changing individual behaviour or launching isolated initiatives is not enough, because deeper patterns and conditions are shaping performance.

What can become possible

From isolated change initiatives → towards work that flows across boundaries and an organization that can adapt without constant escalation.

Directions of change — not guaranteed results.

How we would work on your situation

  1. SEE

    Make the real situation visible.

  2. UNDERSTAND

Identify what keeps the current pattern in place.

  3. DESIGN

Focus on the few changes with real leverage.

  4. ACTIVATE

Turn insight into new ways of working.

  5. EVOLVE

Learn what works and strengthen what should continue.

The sequence gives the work a direction — not a script.

Explore the thinking behind it

Have a situation you are trying to change?

Let’s explore what is happening beneath the surface — and what might need to evolve. You do not need to arrive with a defined problem or know which field fits.
