Chapter X — The Author

A philosophy becomes meaningful when it is lived in practice.

Why I created
Human-Centered Evolution.

By Lars — Founder · Systems Practitioner

I work with organizations as a systems practitioner — not to fix people, but to redesign the conditions they work within.

Portrait of Lars, founder of Human-Centered Evolution
Lars — Potsdam

I spent more than twenty years inside global organizations — in marketing, medical, commercial leadership and international roles. I lived quarterly pressure, the quiet weight of silos, and the transformations that were announced with conviction but never quite arrived.

For several years I helped shape Bayer's Dynamic Shared Ownership transformation — one of the boldest attempts to redesign how a large organization operates around trust, ownership, and self-organization.

I am a PhD scientist by background and an executive coach by practice. But above all, I am someone who has walked this path, and who understands why today's organizations struggle — because I know what it feels like from the inside.

Sustainable Performance and Human Development emerge from the same conditions.

You are working directly with the person who created Human-Centered Evolution — bringing together scientific thinking, executive experience and years of working inside complex organizational change.

Why this perspective

Human-Centered Evolution did not emerge from a theory.

It emerged from years of seeing human systems through several lenses at once.

ScientistExecutiveTransformation practitionerCoachFramework creator

Scientific thinking. Executive and organizational reality. Transformation from inside complex organizations. Developmental work with leaders and teams. Each lens reveals something the others miss. Human-Centered Evolution is what became visible where they overlap — a way of understanding human systems that no single vantage point could produce on its own.

The framework is new. The experience behind it is not.

Chapter IX — Grounded in Science

Rooted in living systems, complexity science and modern research on human development.

Human-Centered Evolution is informed by living systems thinking, complexity science and research on human development. The science supports the story. It does not replace it.

Three traditions shape this work: living systems, complexity science and adult development.
